A year without a DIP

Episode 251:  The S&P500 is up 20% since last November’s Presidential election and volatility has been extremely muted with no more than a 3% pullback all year.  The market since 2009 has been extremely resilient, regardless of an Obama or Trump administration.  Over the past 18 months, global markets have also shown growth.

Currently tax policy uncertainty has some pundits frazzled, but overall market conditions appear favorable.  Interest rates, energy and commodities are all within global growth sweet spots.  As such, corporate profits are doing well and at the end of the day, despite all the gloom and doom…profits are all that matters.
