I never BUDGET

Episode 274:   I never budget.

Budgeting is a plan for failure.  Optimistic biased budgets encourage people to spend what they can “afford”.  Inevitably things go awry.  Unforeseen expenses cause a deficit that usually ends up on a credit card.

Stop thinking in terms of Emergency Funds…start thinking in terms of saving for an Opportunity Fund.

The issue shouldn’t be about affordability.  The master wealth building question is, “does this purchase advance my FREEDOM?”
